I go on a lot of long-distance trips across north america and overseas, so I know how easy it is to get bored out of your mind being stuck in a plane or car for hours at a time.

but it was one thing after another with these programs...

One of them couldn't rip copy protected DVDs, another didn't have support for the best and most recent codecs I wanted to use (XVid, which makes the video very high quality with low file size), and most of them also made very LOW quality iPod videos.

Yet another was just a very unstable program and became a hassle to use because it would freeze up on me in the middle of ripping.

Imagine all that with 50 and 60 dollar, so-called 'premium' programs! Geez...
